Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Announces 4.8% Returns

Ontario Teachers’ has reported several highlights, including: 6 and 12-month total fund net returns of 1.9% and 4.8%, Long-term returns of 8.6% over ten years, and 9.4% since inception in 1990. The Plan is fully funded.
Net assets are CA$ 249.8 billion. Jo Taylor, President and CEO said: “We continue to deliver positive investment returns for our members. Our investment portfolio is purposely designed to help us achieve stable returns over the long term, and our half-year results demonstrate that our portfolio construction is working as planned.”
Ontario Teachers’ has set a goal of having CA$ 300 billion by 2030. It has CA$ 50 billion in green investments. Over half of private investing activity takes place outside of North America. It has 336,000 members.
